…went better than expected! Basically I get to spend this summer sitting down in an air-conditioned office reading and writing. And when I’m done at 5, I’m done, instead of having seven hundred pages to read for homework. And I get paid more to do this than I ever got paid to hustle around the ice cream parlor.

What is my life?

Our research topic is really interesting, too! We’re studying how social class affects occupational chances after college graduation, which is, you know, relevant to me and my interests. Today was kind of off-putting because I spent seven hours reading about student debt and how the working class pretty much gets screwed by any loan thing ever, but still, knowledge is power.

As of now, research gigs are the best. Hopefully I still feel that way in like two weeks when I’ve read 48928930 pages of info about class and college.

People are so difficult. I am jealous of anyone who can actually work with other human beings and not spend every minute wondering why the rest of the world seems to be spinning in a different direction.

Steve thinks that people not being able to pick up Mjolnir is a little joke the team and associated SHIELD agents play, and he plays along every once in a while himself.

It’s a silly joke, though. It’s just a hammer. Anyone can pick it up.

He even used it as a doorstop once.
